For National Apprenticeship Week, we’re shining a spotlight on our super apprentices and reminding young people that there are plenty of opportunities to be had.
Recently we took on Aimee who has started her journey here at HiS as a Central Administration Assistant while undertaking her Business Administration Apprenticeship also.
Aimee said: “I am super excited to be working at Homes in Somerset and joining as an apprentice, this will benefit me in so many ways. I get to learn and experience an office environment and working life as well as continuing with my studies alongside. I have encountered many learning opportunities as well and I have been able to work on my knowledge and people skills. Working at Homes in Somerset, I am excited to assist the Housing Officers, work closely alongside them, and learn new ways of working. I know that Somerset Skills and Learning will provide support and help for me during my apprenticeship, and will ensure I achieve my qualification.”
Kaylun started his career with us as a Customer Services Apprentice and since then has progressed from being on the phones to helping our communities as a Community Enabler.
“I loved my apprenticeship with Homes in Somerset, I still use what I learned in my Customer Services Apprenticeship in the role I’m in now”
